19 August 2017 - Taptoe 'Themed weekend: TLRTP'
Kasteeldomein Zonnebeke - Concert Taptoe (20.15 hrs - 22.00 hrs) Doors are open at19.30 hrs Location: Chateau Grounds at Zonnebeke (B. Pilstraat 5A, 8980 Zonnebeke - nearby the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917) The themed weekend ‘The long road to Passchendaele’, organised by the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917, commemorates the Scottish efforts during the Battle of Passchendaele. The themed weekend starts with a memorial service at the Scottish monument at Frezenberg, in Zonnebeke. In the chateau grounds, an international tattoo with pipe bands will give an impressive spectacle of light and sound on Saturday evening, 19 August. On Sunday afternoon, visitors can witness and participate in several Scottish themed activities in the chateau grounds: Highland Games, birds of prey demonstration, degustation of Scottish specialities …

Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 - Book your ticket here: a combined visit to the Zonnebeke Church Dug Out and the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 or a visit to the Zonnebeke Church Dug Out Attention! The chosen time for the visit to the Zonnebeke Church Dug Out must be respected. It is mandatory to first sign in at the reception of the MMP1917, so we kindly advise you to be 15 minutes in advance.
C.1. Long Dawn Walk - 9,5 km - 31/07/2017
Parking C Bellewaerde - UK Ceremony of Remembrance 'Centenary of Passchendaele, Third Battle of Ypres' Alternative Program for Individuals - 31/07/2017 EVERY PARTICIPANT MUST HIS GIVE HIS FIRST NAME, NAME, ADDRESS AND BIRTHDATE UPON RESERVATION. On Monday 31 July , the British remembrance ceremony “100 years Battle of Passchendaele, the Third Battle of Ypres” will take place at CWGC Tyne Cot Cemetery. For this event the British Government handed out tickets to relatives. The municipality of Zonnebeke and the MMP1917 offer 1,000 people, who couldn’t get a ticket, an alternative that day. In total you can choose from 3 options, each starting from car park “C” at Bellewaerde. The first option is a guided dawn walk of 9 km with breakfast and several stops where an extra guide gives additional explanations. The second option is a 5.5 km guided walk with breakfast and several stops. The walks end at the Zonnebeke chateau grounds. The third option is public transport to the Zonnebeke chateau grounds. All options include a visit to the MMP1917, a Tommy Tucker meal, live coverage on a big screen of the ceremony and transportation to the car park (shuttle busses from 4 p.m.). Also included is free entrance to the “Passchendaele Centenary Exhibition field” with reenactors, exhibitions, artifacts, infomodules… As participant you also have the chance to be the first to visit the Zonnebeke Church Dugout. This exceptionally well preserved dugout will be officially opened after the ceremony. You also have a chance at attending the ceremony at CWGC Tyne Cot Cemetery after all. The museum holds a lottery with a great number of tickets among the participants. The winners of a ceremony or Zonnebeke Church Dugout ticket will be informed by email on Monday 24 July .
